I’ve been wanting to make a sequin wedding cake for so long, so I was delighted to get the opportunity for Danni & David’s wedding recently.
The top tier of the wedding cake is Madagascan Vanilla filled with buttercream and white chocolate ganache, middle tier of Spicy Carrot filled with buttercream and white chocolate ganache and the base tier is, my favourite, Chocolate Fudge filled with chocolate ganache buttercream and dark chocolate ganache… fortunately I get to treat myself to the tops off the cakes when layering and filling… I did enjoy the carrot with a cup of tea!
The cake was set up at Hoveton Hall Gardens, not far from Scrumptious Buns, so it wasn’t too hairy a delivery… although I always feel every bump when I’m delivering a stacked cake!
My 9 year old daughter came with me to help me set up the cake in the marquee, we did laugh as the noise from the bleating sheep in the grounds was so loud… they would keep the guests amused throughout the day, I’m sure 😉
The forecast wasn’t good for the day, but the rain stayed away allowing the happy couple to enjoy a beautiful late Spring afternoon wedding in the gorgeous grounds of the Hall.
